Gwynedd ‘Healthy Schools’ Scheme is managed in partnership with Public Health Wales NHS Trust, Gwynedd Council, CYNNAL and Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board.
Gwynedd Healthy Schools Scheme received accreditation from the Welsh Assembly Government in June, 2002. This means that the Scheme has achieved the highest standard possible. Every school should therefore accomplish the necessary standard to maintain this success.
Every primary, secondary and special school within Gwynedd participate within the Scheme with the last schools enrolling in March 2009.
‘Healthy Schools’ presents aspects of health and well-being through:-
|
- Hidden curriculum and school ethos
|
- Developing relationships which already exist between the home, the community and specialist agencies.
